SSR (Sustained Silent Reading)

One of the best ways to improve your reading skills and to develop the joy of reading is to practice!  Like any skill, the more you use it, the more proficient you become.  Choose a book that interests you, perhaps one that you have heard about, or that someone else has enjoyed.  The idea of the project is to enjoy the time you spend reading.  Make the choice carefully.  Don’t just pick a book because you are required to have one.  Talk to a friend or relative, or a teacher whose class or subject you enjoy.  Ask for suggestions.
